Meet Mary Scholz
Mary Scholz is an internationally touring singer/songwriter and recording artist based in Los Angeles. With a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of the Arts, she has a background in Meisner Technique. Mary has appeared in various feature films, as well as on the Hallmark Channel, and in musical theatre festivals around the world. Her students have been cast in roles such as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Cosette in Les Mis, Elsa in Frozen, Asaka in Once on this Island, Amneres in Aida, Sandy in Grease, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, and more.

A vocalist and musician above all, Mary's first public performance was at the sweet age of 3, kicking off a life's love of the stage.
Voice lessons, school choir, marching band, dance classes, and theatre productions filled her extracurricular time, and heart.

Through all of it, she was writing poems and songs, dreaming of connecting with people, using the ancient and universal language of music.

2005 kicked off her career as a touring songwriter, and coincidentally, her career as a vocal teacher.

Along with teaching various theatre camps and classes, she started the Scholz Studio, working privately with students in their homes, on learning and strengthening their voices, technique, and self confidence.
Mary now resides in Los Angeles, where students have the option to come to her studio, or have her come to their home.

As a songwriter, Mary has been touring for fifteen years, releasing 4 EPs, 3 full length records, a live album, and various digital singles.
Known for her haunting and lyrical voice, lingering melodies, thoughtful guitar work, and personal connection to her audience on stage, she's become a live circuit favorite.

"It is a joy to work with each individual student, learning what they need from a teacher, so that I can turn around and help them learn."
